Background& Purpose of the Job
TheAssociate Category Development Manager performs a valuable role in building astrong partnership with Walgreens by developing and implementing insight drivenrecommendations to grow their respective categories. This position isresponsible for leading the development and sharing of Category Managementfoundations and directives throughout the organization for the assignedcategory.
Who You Are & WhatYou’ll Do
In this role, you will drive Bestin Class Category Management principles as well as Consumer and ShopperInsights. You will also provide category expertise and recommendations for yourassigned categories. You proactivelysupport your Team Lead and Customer Business Manager(s) on key businessopportunities and provide actionable recommendations; write POG’s and giveshelving recommendations based on thorough insights. You establish best practices and deliver best-in-classmerchandising recommendations. Youmanage and optimize different category management tools. You have proficient understanding of Nielsen,Microsoft office and Space Management software. Additional tools used are: FeatureVision,UniMix, InfoScout etc. You can developand employ standardized processes for SKU rationalization and new itemprojections. You have the key responsibilityin developing and employing standardized processes for SKU rationalization andnew item projections.

WhatYou’ll Need To Succeed
At least 2 years of category management experience with proven ability to analyze information and provide insight driven recommendations. Excellent planning, analytical, communication skills required; Strong PowerPoint, Excel and presentation skills with the experience and working knowledge of category management principles, Nielsen, Shopper/Consumer Insights and Space management software.
