This Site Quality Technicians role’s primary responsibilities are to provide support to the Jonesboro Plant in the Quality Assurance area. This includes lab activities for the testing and releasing of raw materials, in-process checks, and finished products. This position will interface with the Manufacturing, Development, and Quality Teams to ensure that products and processes meet Unilever standards and reduce quality losses in manufacturing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

•The key responsibility of this position includes Analytical testing and release of raw materials, intermediates and finished goods, and reports to the Analytical Quality Supervisor.

•Test and Release all of raw materials, intermediates and finished goods.

•Perform lab batches to make authorized adjustments for in-process bulk batches

•Support TPM 5S activities in laboratories. Maintain area 5S compliant

•Use statistical analysis of process data to identify trends for specification management of raw materials, intermediates and finished goods

•Maintain equipment calibrated and in good working condition.

•Utilize TPM tools and concepts to drive to a zero defect culture.

•Communicate with R&D brand teams – Formulators and Process Engineers

•Support Innovations activities, including readiness and post launch.

•Support RTF(Right the First Time) team by improving testing output and reliability in the lab. Work to improve batch cycle time by improving test/release test and release metrics

•Follow operating procedures and technical standards for the testing of raw materials, intermediates and finished goods.

•Utilize laboratory data bases and supporting software programs to maintain, record, and control testing of raw materials, intermediate, and finished goods (LENS, SAP-QM, Interspec and Airsweb).

•Direct workers engaged in measuring and testing products and tabulating data concerning material, product, or process quality and reliability.

•Participate and/or Lead cross functional improvement teams.

•Support/participate in BeSAFE and DCA.

•Make daily decisions to assure that Quality Standards are not compromised.

Key Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry

1-3 years of Laboratory Experience
